POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose
This position to facilitate attaining all APCI and standards and global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer relationship for VSAs, HPNs and ASUs covered by Tongxiang. Besides of safety management, plant operation, productivity, reliability, quality, cost effectiveness, team development and customer focus need to be conducted by this position.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Overall management and sample audit for the day-to-day safety issues conduct by supervisor and assistant manager, including safety meetings conduct, special safety audits, safety work permits. To make sure all relative safety and process safety procedures are fully compliant by team under management of assistant manager and supervisor.
· To ensure plant preventive maintenance program, normal PM and process/safety training plans and system are correctly implemented.

· Lead and direct the plant team to make the plant operate on safety, reliability and productivity by implement of BSP, APSAM, downtime reporting, SIP and CI programs or systems etc.

· Some of the detail tasks need to be delegated to supervisor and assistant manager, coaching, delegating and monthly operational work review with them to ensure their good operational and management skills are quite important.

· Need to generate an effective team development program together with operational line manager and implement it accordingly.
· To maintain good relationship with local government dept. and customers, also need to support internal cross functions and do necessary communication.

· Need to support new plant PDEP+ stage, especially on plant design review, startup support and take the plant handover from GEO, ensure all safety and reliability issues are compliant to AP standards and product supply contract.
· Ensure all the production and safety reports are correctly issue according to relative process and AP standards.
· Should 24hrs on call, to take plant calls during nights, weekends, and holidays. Sometimes, need to relief the operation line manager for vacation and business travel etc.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Must be a good leader and strong supporter in the field of EH&S and have a good understanding of EH&S requirements and standards.
· At least 5-7 years pertinent ASU or chemistry of petroleum operations experience, preferably rich process knowledge.
· Must have at least five years plant management experience, preferably at the plant manager’s level or equivalent.
· Rich experience in chemical operations troubleshooting and maintenance.
· Must be an excellent team leader to be able to develop and lead a competitive operations team and to coordinate the various activities and tasks among a multi team environment.
· Good demonstrated interpersonal skills.
· Proven track record of hard working and diligence.
· Excellent written and spoken English.
· Chemical education background.
